Carmela Sodaro's Famous Peach Cobbler

INGREDIENTS:
  8-10 Medium Size Sodaro Orchards Peaches
*1 Cup Sugar
  1 Cup Flour
  1 Cup milk
  1 Tsp Baking Powder
  1 pinch of Salt
*1 Tbs Pure Vanilla Extract
*1 Tbs Ground Cinnamon
1 stick of Butter (or Margarine)
* Additional amounts will be needed for cooking peaches.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
First, Peel and slice the peaches into a medium saucepan. Cook for approximately 5 minutes until the reach a rolling boil. Add sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to taste. Drain peaches and save the juice in a separate bowl for serving.
(Note: Water is not necessary to add - the peaches will make their own juice.)
Next, melt butter in a 9 x 12 glass pan and set aside to cool. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour gently over the melted butter. Spoon peaches on top of batter mixture and cook for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream of whipped topping and drizzle warm rendered peach juice over the top.
